As part of our hiring process, we’d like to get to know you better through a short video response. This will help us assess how well your teaching style, mindset, and values align with our mission to raise confident, independent learners through mentorship and the Inductive Method.

What to Cover in Your Video:

Please answer the following 7 questions clearly and sincerely and in a natural way.

1. About you: Describe your academic background and other relevant information
2. Describe a time when you helped a student who was struggling with confidence or motivation. What did you do, and what was the outcome?
3. At STEM Prep, we use the Inductive Method—students discover concepts through guided questioning. How would you apply this method when teaching a new concept?
4. Give an example of how you would lead a class or 1-on-1 session that’s both interactive and participatory, even if the student is shy or disengaged.
5. What strategies do you use to help students develop better homework habits and become more independent learners?
6. How do you tailor your instruction to suit students with different learning styles or academic levels?
7. Why do you believe you’re a good fit for STEM Prep Tutoring? What values or experiences make you uniquely suited for this role?
